About the role

  • Study Manager overseeing engineering studies for mining and mineral processing projects across North America. Leading teams and managing client relationships while ensuring project delivery and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering and technical studies for mining and mineral processing projects.
  • Serve as the primary client interface throughout the study lifecycle, building strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating engineering, process, metallurgical, infrastructure, environmental, and commercial inputs.
  • Develop study scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Facilitate technical workshops, project reviews, and client presentations.
  • Guide projects through key stage-gate decisions, ensuring study outcomes support client investment and development objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of technical reports, economic evaluations, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure studies are delivered in accordance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
  • Identify project risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies throughout the study process.
  • Collaborate with business development and technical teams to support proposals, client engagement, and future project opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in mining, mineral processing, engineering consulting, or related industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience managing engineering studies from initiation through final delivery.
  • Strong understanding of mineral processing operations, project development, and study methodologies.
  • Experience leading Preliminary Economic Assessments (PEA), Preliminary Feasibility Studies (PFS), Feasibility Studies (FS), and/or NI 43-101 technical studies.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead discussions with executive, technical, and operational stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities in a dynamic project environment.
  • Direct experience in mineral processing plant design, process engineering, or metallurgical operations (preferred).
  • Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility (preferred).
