About the role

  • Project Engineering Coordinator managing technical execution for hydroelectric turbine design. Involves coordination between engineering disciplines and project management teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical interface between the turbine-related design engineering team and the project engineering manager.
  • Analyze and coordinate the technical contract requirements between the client and the product design team.
  • Plan and lead coordination meetings with the turbine design engineers.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of engineering activities and technical decisions to ensure deadlines, quality, and costs are met.
  • Coordinate the collection of technical lessons learned on projects and the associated mitigation measures with support from the design engineers.
  • Manage the project budget, margin movements, and technical opportunities for the turbine-related product design engineering team.
  • Coordinate technical support for site teams during turbine installation and commissioning.

Requirements

  • Recognized university degree in mechanical engineering or a graduate degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of heavy industry design.
  • Relevant experience in engineering project management.
  • Experience in client relationship management.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Must be willing to undergo pre-employment screening.
  • Must have authorization to work in Canada without restriction and without the need for sponsorship.
