About the role

  • Software Test Specialist at Genetec ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing processes in a collaborative environment. Contributing to a cloud-based solution managing digital data effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure software quality by participating, from the design and development phases, in the creation and execution of manual and automated tests
  • Review feature acceptance criteria with developers and write test plans to validate them
  • Test public and private service APIs
  • Maintain a test environment capable of detecting regressions that could impact production in a continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) environment
  • Provide detailed reports of tests executed and issues identified
  • Propose and implement new tools and practices to improve quality assurance efficiency

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to accurately describe and share information about observed behaviors
  • Proven experience in manual and/or automated software testing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and adapt to changing priorities to support our internal and external clients
  • Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of assigned work independently
  • Motivated team player who enjoys collaborative work and has strong teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written (this role requires interactions with our international colleagues and clients)
