About the role
- Software Developer Intern involved in building telematics platform at Geotab. Collaborating with teams to write C# and JavaScript code as part of the internship.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications from concept to deployment.
- Collaborate with a talented team to write clean, efficient code.
- Conduct Test-Driven and Security-Driven Development.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to maintaining the overall quality of our codebase.
- Involve in prototyping new features and optimizing existing systems for performance and scalability.
- Provide documentation to ensure our software is well-understood and easy to maintain.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with using Linux, C# and .Net and experience with object-oriented design, unit testing, optimization and multithreaded programming.
- Some experience programming with JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
- Experience in Python, TypeScript, ES6, .Net Core, Google Compute Engine, Google BigQuery.
- Working knowledge of Cloud computing experience with GCP, AWS and/or Azure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions.
- A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
