Responsibilities
As an expert in power system dynamics and control, you will lead the ideation, design, and validation of exploratory models.
Your work will shape our innovation roadmap by creating high-fidelity representations of network scenarios to test new protection, automation, and control applications.
Design and develop exploratory power system models (transient, steady-state, or dynamic) to simulate emerging network behaviors.
Translate complex concepts and protection/control philosophies into robust, high-fidelity models using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, or Opal-RT.
Develop and validate innovative algorithms for Smart Grid control, integrating them into simulation environments.
Requirements
Degree in electrical engineering (specializing in power systems), renewable energy, or a related field from an accredited university.
Demonstrable industry or research experience as an expert in power system modeling and simulation.
Proven experience translating complex theories into simulation-based models for R&D purposes.
Strong understanding of power system dynamics, protection, and control.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex theory into clean, logical, and maintainable implementations.
Solid understanding of professional development practices (modularity, documentation, use of version control (Git), testing, and maintenance) in a commercial project environment, whether in MATLAB/Simulink models, scripts, or custom simulation logic.
Experience applying relevant industry standards (IEEE/IEC) to technical designs.
