About the role
- Remote Outage Manager planning and leading complex gas and steam turbine outages for GE Vernova’s energy infrastructure business. Coordinating site execution, customers, labor, costs, safety, and closeout.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, plan, lead execution, and close out complex planned and emergent outage events for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators
- Develop outage schedules and plan labor, tooling, costs, customer meetings, mobilization, execution, and closeout
- Lead onsite execution as site lead with large teams, ensuring Fulfilment-5 goals and requirements are met
- Track job costs and productivity while managing execution risk/FMEA and NU/Service warranty
- Improve on-time delivery, outage cost, productivity, implementation, and tracking accuracy
- Lead project quotation development, including work scope, site condition checks, safety and risk analysis
- Support customer operations during shutdown, startup, running, and performance testing of turbine, generator, and auxiliary systems
- Prepare, review, store, and deliver execution documentation, including Field Procedures, Quality Procedures, EHS, and Customer Outage Reports
- Use web systems applications for labor, tooling, forecasting, and vendor management
- Respond to forced outages and emergencies, investigate and escalate site issues, and restore units to operating condition
- Support the Customer Service Leader with technical communication to customer staff
- Improve and simplify existing processes and perform additional duties aligned with FieldCore’s vision and values
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering or a High School Diploma / GED with 4 years of experience in power generation industry
- Minimum of 8 years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge on gas/steam turbine or generator maintenance
- Minimum of 3 years of specialized/industry experience of gas/steam turbine generator & auxiliary system outage planning and execution
- English proficiency required
- Strong Project Management and planning skills; Primavera scheduling tool preferred
- PC proficiency, web applications including advanced Excel skills
- Strong technical and maintenance knowledge of gas/steam turbines and generators
- FEP graduate
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
- Willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
- Travel may be required
