About the role

  • Care and Service Manager leading clinical supervisors and front-line staff. ParaMed delivers home healthcare, nursing, therapeutic, personal support, and home support services across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical supervisors and front-line staff in delivering patient care
  • Show respect for cultural needs, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality of staff and clients
  • Coach and mentor clinical supervisors on care delivery and support for front-line team members, patients, and families
  • Monitor care and service delivery performance and clinical indicators
  • Participate in interviewing, orientation, ongoing supervision, and performance management of clinical supervisors
  • Ensure completion of mandatory training and skill development
  • Create and maintain the on-call schedule for Clinical Supervisors
  • Respond to clinical concerns from staff, contractors, funders, clients, and families
  • Review client safety incidents and participate in investigation and resolution
  • Provide clinical leadership at the district
  • Oversee continuous quality improvement activities related to care and service
  • Ensure compliance with ParaMed policies, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Participate in care conferences with healthcare teams, contractors, and funders
  • Collaborate with government agencies, healthcare workers, and community resources
  • Demonstrate continuous learning and professional development through conferences, committees, and networks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the healthcare industry and/or home care
  • Regulated health care professional in good standing with the applicable College in the Allied Health field
  • Working knowledge of applicable health care legislation, including the Mental Health Act, Substitute Decisions Act, Healthcare Consent Act, and Privacy / Personal Health Information Act
  • Effective critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility in hours worked to accommodate operational needs
  • Knowledge of applicable community resources available for clients and families
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, completed within Canada within the past 12 months
  • Expertise in data-driven research and analysis, with ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to guide, support, and motivate teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current registration in a regulated professional college and professional association is an advantage
  • Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel
  • Able to provide a current, clear criminal background check with Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS)
