About the role
- Lead Electrical Engineer responsible for electrical systems in water and wastewater projects. Managing design, implementation, and team development with a focus on client relations and project execution.
Responsibilities
- Leading electrical project teams throughout all project phases
- Developing electrical team standards
- Assisting in writing proposals, managing client relations, and business development
- Completing condition assessments and leading client workshops
- Functioning as Project Lead and preparing detailed design drawing packages
- Technical review and quality control of electrical designs
- Coordination of electrical system designs with other engineering disciplines
- Ensuring compliance with Canadian electrical codes and standards
Requirements
- B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
- Registered member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario
- 15-20+ years of experience in electrical systems design and implementation
- Minimum 15 years of experience with water and wastewater treatment plants
- Experience working with municipalities
- Supervisory experience in electrical teams
- Technical development leadership in electrical discipline
- Client relations management
- Excellent knowledge of Canadian electrical codes and standards
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask in fast-paced environments
- P.Eng. in other provinces an asset
- PMP designation an asset
