About the role
- Responsable des finances d’un office d’habitation québécois offrant des logements abordables. Supervision comptable, budgets, trésorerie, conformité réglementaire et conseil stratégique à la direction.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, lead and control all financial activities of the organization
- Develop, monitor and update annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Oversee daily accounting operations and supervise the finance team
- Produce financial statements, management reports and dashboards
- Manage cash flow and optimize financial operations
- Prepare annual audit files and liaise with external auditors
- Implement and strengthen internal control procedures
- Ensure compliance with tax, social and regulatory obligations, including SHQ (Société d'habitation du Québec) requirements
- Advise senior management on financial and strategic matters
- Collaborate with government and municipal partners
- Contribute to financial planning, risk control and improvement of organizational performance
Requirements
- University degree in accounting, finance or management
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation and Excel
- CPA designation is an asset
- Experience in the public sector, para-public organizations or non-profits is an asset
- Excellent attention to detail and strong concentration skills
- High integrity and respect for confidentiality
- Proven autonomy and strong interpersonal skills
