About the role

  • Field Service Technician deploying, commissioning, and maintaining H2O Innovation’s mobile water treatment systems. Supporting clients, pilots, and assets across North America through field service and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and operate pre-engineered, containerized Flexbox water treatment systems for emergency or temporary scenarios
  • Participate in planning, coordinating, and executing deployment of the Flexbox mobile fleet and water treatment pilots across North America
  • Coordinate with Automation, Commissioning, and Service teams
  • Troubleshoot onsite issues remotely and in the field
  • Work flexible hours, including possible nights and weekends
  • Escalate technical and commercial problems
  • Verify spare-part usage and track inventory
  • Gather user feedback to improve asset design and streamline operations
  • Maintain accurate asset issue logs and deployment documentation
  • Interact with vendors and third parties to support assets and pilots
  • Review client checklists for completeness and accuracy
  • Visit sites for commissioning, startup, tuning, and training, including follow-up visits
  • Validate that deployed assets are correctly installed, configured, and maintained by clients
  • Advocate for asset quality and maintenance
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and propose deployment/design improvements
  • Participate in FAT tests, wet tests, and asset maintenance at H2O Innovation facilities

Requirements

  • Relevant technical site experience, including testing and operations experience, construction, and commissioning
  • Good IT and analytical skills
  • Mechanically inclined, with ability to disassemble and reassemble piping, valves, equipment, etc.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be available to travel unrestricted in both USA and Canada; 50% of the work requires traveling
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of water treatment processes, equipment, and technologies
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
  • Ability to meet all customer site access requirements and maintain a high degree of behavioral safety in all aspects of work
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and managerial skills
  • Autonomous, resourceful and meticulous
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of various PLC programming software
  • Experience with and knowledge of UF, RO, MBR technologies, chemical dosing kits, pumps, compressors, blowers, instrumentation, valves, screening systems, cartridge filters, etc. is an asset
