About the role
- Senior Business Analyst improving processes, requirements, and solutions for Hitachi Solutions’ Microsoft-focused digital consultancy. Supporting agile delivery, data analysis, testing, and business transformation.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse, document, and validate requirements for business processes, systems, and applications
- Understand business challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and propose effective solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business processes and requirements
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and meetings to analyse business needs and pain points
- Use surveys, data analysis, and process modelling to identify process improvement opportunities
- Lead, analyse, identify, design, prioritise, and implement process and business changes
- Create and maintain business requirements, user stories, use cases, and functional specifications
- Analyse and interpret data, identify trends, and define success measures and metrics
- Provide input on proposed solutions and collaborate with project managers, product owners, and SMEs
- Apply user research skills and design principles to support intuitive user interfaces
- Manage requirements and user stories through the project lifecycle in Azure DevOps, including backlogs
- Define test cases and scenarios; support business process testing, usability evaluation, and UAT
- Assess efficiency, usability, and impact of business processes and end-to-end services
- Apply agile methods for iterative and rapid delivery where applicable
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
- Analyse organisational strategy and landscape to support future-state architecture and operating models
Requirements
- 5 plus years of relevant work experience in Business Analyst role
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and documentation software
- Understanding and experience of working on Government projects following Service Standard
- Understanding and experience of project methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and Waterfall
- Business process and re-design experience
- Strong leadership abilities as role model, partner and mentor to project teams and clients
- Results-focused with strong business acumen combined with analytical and structured thinking
- Consulting skills, including team facilitation, conflict management, and business case development
- Ability to work in a high pressure, rapidly changing environment whilst dealing with ambiguity and diverse opinions
