Responsibilities

  • Learn about the safe and optimal extraction of mineral deposits.
  • Work collaboratively with safety, operations, and geology teams to learn about mine planning and departmental functions.
  • Opportunity to travel underground regularly to learn about surveying, ventilation, validating plans, assessing ground conditions, and real-time engineering solutions.
  • Learn about designing safe and efficient short-to-mid-range extraction plans.
  • Collaborate with geology to evaluate ore zones and minimize dilution.
  • Learn to analyze cavity monitoring surveys (CMS) and perform statistical analysis to optimize blast performance.
  • Learn to identify risks to the mine plan and implement appropriate mitigations.
  • Champion health and safety standards in all engineering designs and daily operations.

Requirements

  • Have completed at least 1 year of a University Degree in Mining or Geological Engineering.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Willingness to learn.
