About the role
- Associate IT Developer building and supporting RQ web and mobile products. Developing features, APIs, integrations, customizations, and technical solutions for customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain large-scale web applications according to industry standards and best practices
- Design interfaces to improve user experience and translate UI/UX wireframes into functional mobile and web elements
- Write maintainable, testable, and performant end-to-end software
- Implement and deploy services and APIs to power applications
- Integrate front-end and back-end application components
- Optimize applications for speed and scalability
- Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance
- Provide technical support and implement backend customizations
- Act as an RQ product and technical expert, communicating capabilities and limitations in non-technical terms
- Coordinate feature upgrades, new developments, bug fixes, quality assurance, testing, and documentation
- Set up client instances and resolve customer support issues within defined SLAs
- Gather requirements with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Collaborate on long-term customer solutions and participate in code reviews
- Perform extensive testing and code profiling
- Build reusable code and libraries
- Write unit test plans and coordinate testing using different tools
- Maintain technical documentation and training materials
- Research and suggest competitive features, applications, and processes
- Stay current with technology trends and suggest product user-experience enhancements
- Improve processes and meet with RQ team members regarding customers and the product pipeline
- Provide customer insight to Sales, Onboarding, and Success Teams
- Pursue ongoing professional development through books, podcasts, or courses
Requirements
- Experience with React.js, Nest.js, TypeScript, SQL, CSS (Bootstrap framework), XML/JSON and ASP for legacy application development
- Strong understanding of asynchronous request handling and leveraging REST APIs via Node.js/Nest.js
- Strong understanding of CSS, cross-browser differences, and front-end development
- Good understanding of AI/Generative AI capabilities and integration with applications, AI APIs, and LLM-based services
- Good understanding of SQL Server and best practices for data management
- Good understanding of software development practices, design patterns, and modern development methodologies
- Experience maintaining and supporting existing legacy ASP systems and integrating them with modern applications
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
- Confident, outgoing, adaptive, and willing to share opinions
