About the role
- Associate IT Developer building and supporting RQ web and mobile products. Developing APIs, integrations, front-end features, bug fixes, and customer technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain large-scale web applications according to industry standards and best practices
- Design interfaces to improve user experience and translate UI/UX wireframes into functional mobile and web elements
- Write maintainable, testable, and performant software for the entire platform end-to-end
- Implement and deploy services and APIs to power applications
- Integrate front-end and back-end application components
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance
- Serve as an RQ product and technical expert, communicating technical capabilities and limitations in non-technical terms
- Collaborate with Engineering on feature upgrades, new developments, bug fixes, testing, and documentation
- Perform quality assurance using automated and manual testing practices
- Implement technical customizations, set up client instances, and support RQ product development
- Resolve customer support issues within defined SLAs
- Conduct requirements-gathering sessions with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Collaborate on long-term customer solutions
- Participate in code reviews and extensive testing, including code profiling
- Build reusable code and libraries
- Write unit test plans and coordinate testing
- Maintain technical documentation and training materials
- Research and suggest competitive features, applications, and processes
- Stay current with technology trends and suggest product user-experience enhancements
- Improve processes and build new value-adding ones
- Meet with RQ team members regarding customers, requests, and product pipeline
- Provide customer insight to Sales, Onboarding, and Success teams
- Pursue professional development through books, podcasts, or courses
Requirements
- Experience with SQL, CSS (Bootstrap framework), XML/JSON and ASP desired for legacy application development
- Highly knowledgeable and able to demonstrate a strong experience with HTML, JavaScript
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and leveraging REST APIs via Node.js
- Experience in working with Single Sign-On integrations and Payment Gateway integrations
- Strong understanding of CSS, cross-browser differences, and an eye for detail within front-end development
- Good understanding of SQL Server and best practices for data management
- Solid understanding of software development practices and design patterns
- Ability to perform maintenance and support for existing legacy system
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
- Confident, outgoing, adaptive and willing to speak their mind when they've got an opinion to share
