About the role

  • Scrum Master facilitating team objectives and applying AGILE methodologies in a growing insurance company. Located in Canada, contributing to innovative software product development.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a facilitator to support the team in reaching their objectives while contributing to the establishment of a pleasant and efficient environment
  • Join a team with high visibility and a multitude of challenges
  • Work closely with the team and provide vision and leadership
  • Ensure proactive and effective communication at all levels and mobilize teams
  • Anticipate problems and sensible situations, propose solutions and participate in the resolution
  • Work with the manager and project manager to determine sprint priorities
  • Formalise delivery processes, quality control and the 'Definition of Done'
  • Guide the team in applying the AGILE methodology while adapting the methodology according to the needs of the team and the context of deliveries
  • Measure the velocity of the team and the progress of the deliverables
  • Plan and coordinate deployments, prepare deployment plans, and produce evidence for implementation

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics or equivalent experience
  • 3 + years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • 7 + years of experience in software engineering.
  • Good understanding of integration and continuous delivery processes.
  • Strong experience of software engineering practices such as Agile, DevOps, CI and CD and others.
  • Scrum Master certification is an asset.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
