About the role
- Scrum Master facilitating team objectives and applying AGILE methodologies in a growing insurance company. Located in Canada, contributing to innovative software product development.
Responsibilities
- Act as a facilitator to support the team in reaching their objectives while contributing to the establishment of a pleasant and efficient environment
- Join a team with high visibility and a multitude of challenges
- Work closely with the team and provide vision and leadership
- Ensure proactive and effective communication at all levels and mobilize teams
- Anticipate problems and sensible situations, propose solutions and participate in the resolution
- Work with the manager and project manager to determine sprint priorities
- Formalise delivery processes, quality control and the 'Definition of Done'
- Guide the team in applying the AGILE methodology while adapting the methodology according to the needs of the team and the context of deliveries
- Measure the velocity of the team and the progress of the deliverables
- Plan and coordinate deployments, prepare deployment plans, and produce evidence for implementation
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics or equivalent experience
- 3 + years of experience as a Scrum Master
- 7 + years of experience in software engineering.
- Good understanding of integration and continuous delivery processes.
- Strong experience of software engineering practices such as Agile, DevOps, CI and CD and others.
- Scrum Master certification is an asset.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
