About the role

Manager of Software Engineering leading New Bets team to build financial products for small businesses. Responsible for technical direction and mentoring team members in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

Manage the New Bets team within Fintech
Help the team bring our bookkeeping product into stable operations after launch
Establish strong AI-augmented development practices
Create conditions for the team to operate with high independence across product, design, and engineering decisions
Shape the technical direction of our platform, ensuring reliability and high performance as we scale Jobber
Collaborate with other stakeholders across the business
Participate in recruiting events and the hiring process
Support team members in developing their skills and advancing their careers

A track record of success in being an established software engineer, as well as time spent in a leadership position, guiding a team in the delivery of quality software.
Strong full-stack technical background, including design and architectural experience. Deep knowledge and experience in either Ruby On Rails environments or ReactJS is essential.
A drive to succeed and deliver impactful projects on time.
The ability to be agile in an agile environment.
Effective written and oral communication.
