About the role
- Workplace Mental Health Specialist enhancing staff psychological health and safety at City of Vancouver through CISM and wellness workshops.
Responsibilities
- Support psychological health and safety of City staff through preventative actions and post-incident intervention services
- Provide Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and debriefing services
- Educate managers on workplace mental health support and CISM
- Assist in development and delivery of psycho-educational workshops on psychological safety
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Counselling, Social Work, or related field
- 5 years’ related experience including public sector experience
- Certification in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), Mental Health First Aid and/or Psychological First Aid training is required
- Demonstrated crisis management skills
- Eligible for registration with a professional College or Counselling Association would be an asset
