About the role

  • Workplace Mental Health Specialist enhancing staff psychological health and safety at City of Vancouver through CISM and wellness workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Support psychological health and safety of City staff through preventative actions and post-incident intervention services
  • Provide Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and debriefing services
  • Educate managers on workplace mental health support and CISM
  • Assist in development and delivery of psycho-educational workshops on psychological safety

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Counselling, Social Work, or related field
  • 5 years’ related experience including public sector experience
  • Certification in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), Mental Health First Aid and/or Psychological First Aid training is required
  • Demonstrated crisis management skills
  • Eligible for registration with a professional College or Counselling Association would be an asset
