About the role
- Quality and sanitation manager improving manufacturing quality, safety, and pest control at JTI. Monitoring production data, leading improvement projects, and coordinating laboratory, production, and engineering activities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze production and laboratory data to identify trends
- Manage out-of-specification products, customer complaints, and root cause analyses
- Monitor the calibration and adjustment of detectors and measuring instruments
- Supervise the external cleaning team
- Manage pest control activities
- Prioritize personal safety and employee safety
- Prepare monthly reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Optimize and standardize machine settings and operating parameters
- Lead quality improvement projects and reject reduction initiatives
- Maintain selected standards/specifications and related documentation up to date
- Develop and deliver training to colleagues and employees
- Serve as a point of contact between quality, production, and engineering
- Identify opportunities for quality and productivity improvements
Requirements
- 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3 years of quality management experience
- 2 years of employee supervision experience
- College diploma or university degree
- Good knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and OneNote
- Knowledge of Power BI and VBA is considered an asset
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 is an asset
- Strong communication skills
- Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Good organizational and work planning skills
- Ability to learn and master new knowledge and software applications
- Team-oriented with a proactive and initiative-driven mindset
- Proficiency in written and spoken French and English
- Spanish is considered an asset
