About the role

  • Senior Strategy Director leading full-funnel marketing strategy for Level, an AI-powered performance marketing agency. Aligning media, creative, SEO, CRM, web, and analytics teams around measurable client growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic direction for high-impact priority client engagements
  • Guide discovery, develop strategy briefs, and translate business challenges into actionable plans
  • Develop annual and quarterly growth roadmaps tied to measurable outcomes
  • Define business objectives, growth priorities, audience insights, positioning, channel approach, investment logic, and measurement frameworks
  • Lead audience insights, competitive analysis, and market intelligence
  • Define channel mix, sequencing, investment logic, and full-funnel media plans
  • Collaborate with media, CRM, SEO, digital experience, creative, web, and analytics leaders
  • Establish measurement frameworks and interpret performance signals
  • Lead strategic narratives for Quarterly Business Reviews and planning discussions
  • Act as strategic partner to client stakeholders on growth opportunities and recommendations
  • Align KPIs, messaging, channel strategies, and measurement frameworks across disciplines
  • Equip account and delivery teams with strategic frameworks and guidance
  • Contribute to agency-wide strategy frameworks, playbooks, and planning tools
  • Contribute to agency thought leadership, category playbooks, growth narratives, and new business opportunities
  • Occasionally travel for company events and industry conferences

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing strategy, integrated strategy, brand strategy, media strategy/planning, or growth strategy within an agency or client-side environment
  • Strong experience developing integrated marketing strategies across multiple channels and disciplines
  • Proven media strategy and planning experience
  • Ability to architect full-funnel, multi-stage media plans beyond performance marketing
  • Ability to translate business objectives into clear strategic direction
  • Strong analytical skills using performance data, research, and market intelligence
  • Systems-thinking mindset connecting messaging, channels, customer experience, and measurement
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills
  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills
  • Executive presence when presenting to senior client stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple planning cycles and initiatives
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous environments
  • Experience building media strategies across the full customer journey
  • Experience developing cross-channel, integrated marketing strategies
  • Experience guiding annual planning, strategic roadmapping, and growth discussions with clients
  • Experience collaborating across media, creative, digital experience, CRM, and analytics teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
  • Proficiency with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Claude, and Perplexity
  • Willingness to continuously experiment with, document, and share AI tool use
  • Industry experience in CPG or B2B is an asset but not required
  • Experience in the education sector is strongly preferred
  • Must reside in the United States or Canada
