About the role
- Field Service Technician repairing crawler cranes and deep foundation machinery for Liebherr-Canada. Diagnosing electro-mechanical systems and supporting customers at sites across Canada.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, inspect and diagnose Liebherr machinery and components, focusing on crawler cranes and deep foundation drill rigs
- Perform machinery preparation, scheduled maintenance, repairs, overhauls, commissioning and adjustments of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, electronic and pneumatic equipment
- Recondition and repair equipment components and systems
- Perform pre-delivery inspections and prepare new and used equipment
- Service Liebherr machinery, including fluid checks, sample pulling, oil and filter checks, lubricant and filter changes, and greasing
- Inspect components, materials and equipment, correct them to specifications, and achieve timely delivery programs
- Complete final verifications specified in work instructions, scopes of work, communications and specifications
- Submit accurate and timely service reports and technical documents
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment and work areas according to company policy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3+ Experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment, experience in Crane repairs strongly preferred
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and diagnostic skills of moderate to complex issues
- Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings
- Ability to multi-task and remain level-headed in demanding situations
- Communication of detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner
- MS Office, service reporting/time entry and parts ordering software
- Resourceful and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Follows instructions, guidelines and protocols
- Valid Drivers License & Passport – Ability to travel regularly
