Field Service Technician supporting Copeland’s HVACR and retail climate solutions. Troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing customer sites across Canada with up to 70% travel.
About the role
- Field Service Technician repairing and maintaining Liebherr maritime equipment. Troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, engine and drivetrain systems at Canadian customer sites and offshore platforms.
Responsibilities
- Safely and effectively repair and maintain machinery and components on Liebherr maritime equipment in the field and at customer sites, including offshore platforms and FPSOs
- Troubleshoot, inspect and diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, engine, gearbox and drivetrain systems
- Recondition and repair equipment components and systems, including warranty upgrades
- Prepare equipment and perform pre-delivery inspections for new and used equipment
- Perform fluid checks, sample pulling, oil and filter checks, lubricant changes, filter replacement and machine greasing
- Submit accurate and timely service reports and technical documents
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment and work areas according to company policy
- Support shop repairs and other assigned duties
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment
- Direct experience in Crane repairs and maintenance is a definite asset
- Demonstrated diagnostic skills, with strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
- Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings
- Ability to communicate detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Computer proficient, including MS Office, service reporting/time entry and parts ordering software
- Resourceful and able to work independently and under pressure with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel provincially within Canada as needed
- Valid drivers license is required
