About the role
- Asset Protection Representative protecting Loblaw’s grocery and pharmacy operations in Winnipeg. Preventing theft, conducting investigations, and collaborating with law enforcement and store leadership.
Responsibilities
- Prevent theft, fraud, and policy violations through a visible in-store presence
- Safely and lawfully detain offenders according to company and legal procedures
- Conduct internal and external investigations
- Gather and analyze evidence
- Collaborate with law enforcement when required
- Partner with store leadership to identify loss trends and implement prevention strategies
- Ensure compliance with company standards, security policies, and provincial regulations
- Adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule
Requirements
- Valid Provincial Security Guard License
- Understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and related legislation
- Experience with CCTV and surveillance tools
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Exceptional communication skills
- High level of trustworthiness and accountability
- Candidates aged 18 years or older must complete a criminal background check
- Previous experience in grocery, pharmacy, or other high-volume retail environments is an asset
