About the role
- Integration Developer building custom API solutions for MaintainX’s industrial operations platform. Supporting client projects through data transformation, troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional delivery.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Integration Consultants to understand clients’ integration needs and operational processes
- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions aligned with client objectives
- Provide technical guidance and support to Integration Consultants and clients
- Provide expert guidance on using open REST APIs
- Design and develop custom solutions using APIs, connectors, and data transformation techniques
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to prioritize and discuss integration requirements
- Use TypeScript, Node.js, React, React Native, and MySQL
- Ensure reliability, security, and performance through rigorous testing and quality assurance
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation
- Communicate project progress and technical details to internal teams and clients
- Debug and resolve technical issues
- Provide ongoing technical support to clients
- Coordinate delivery with consultants, project management, and other stakeholders
- Participate in project planning, scoping, and schedule management
Requirements
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to understand how to organize and consolidate client data in various formats and from various source applications
- Proficiency in programming languages (JavaScript), APIs, middleware platforms, and data transformation
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Detail- and process-oriented, with the ability to manage projects involving external and internal stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Critical thinker with the initiative and judgment to work independently on behalf of clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively as part of a team
- Daily verbal and written communication with clients in English
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics AX, Sage Intacct, and other third-party integrations is highly preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with IoT sensors, historians, SCADA, PLCs, and Industry 4.0 technologies is highly preferred
- Familiarity with Workato, Tray.io, and/or Zapier is highly preferred
