About the role
- Senior Frontend Engineer building Next.js interfaces for Makai’s human-machine automation platform. Improving performance, usability, and scalable user-facing applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop new user-facing features
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
- Write robust, clean, and documented code
- Maintain and enhance existing web applications
- Conduct performance tests and ensure responsiveness and stability across all platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions that enhance user experiences and drive business outcomes
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in web development, including at least 3 years using Next.js
- Solid experience working from a fully remote position
- Proficient understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
- Relevant experience using Tailwind, Material UI, or Joy UI
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern authorization mechanisms
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or MobX
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication in English, especially in remote and asynchronous environments
- High degree of autonomy, accountability, and follow-through
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools effectively is a plus
