Responsibilities
own the full collection process of delinquent and/or past due payments
manage and resolve more complex delinquent accounts
ensure payments and adjustments are processed accurately
manage incoming correspondence from clients
review, investigate, and analyze accounts to determine repayment ability
negotiate payment arrangements within credit policy guidelines
maintain account records regarding customer financial status
escalate legal or third-party notices as necessary
manage the balance between customer expectations and reputational risk
ensure client privacy and confidentiality are maintained
review and recommend solutions for escalated client complaints
Requirements
1-3 years previous collection experience, preferably with mortgages
fully bilingual in French and English
ability to enjoy using analytical, interpretive, judgment and problem-solving skills
ability to adapt quickly to changes with fluctuating work volumes
ability to read/interpret mortgage/loan agreements and legal documents
ability to manage competing priorities
ability to collaborate with geographically and culturally diverse cross-functional team
