About the role

  • Bilingual Mortgage Fulfilment Officer at Manulife Bank verifying residential mortgage applications and preparing mortgage-related transactions. Collaborate with internal partners and ensure customer service standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • verification of documents of residential mortgage applications from new loan inception to instructions to lawyers and notaries
  • preparing and processing all mortgage-related transactions and documents
  • Review documents submitted by the Mortgage Specialist to ensure the file is in good order and all conditions have been met
  • Set up and administer new mortgage business and process the related financial transactions
  • Address routine queries from internal partners
  • Apply strong decision making and problem-solving skills to resolve situations
  • Maintain strong accountability with respect to workload and responsiveness
  • Contribute to and support the team in meeting urgent deadlines and unexpected increased volumes
  • Create and maintain strong team collaborative working relationships with internal departments by providing excellent customer service
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and share ideas for improvements

Requirements

  • Fully bilingual (French/English)
  • General knowledge of residential mortgage business and mortgage underwriting practices an asset
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office programs, such as Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Previous Banking experience is an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven organization and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to understand and correctly interpret legal mortgage documents
  • Team collaborative (strong Team player)
  • Willing to work flexible hours during peak season
