About the role

  • Bilingual Mortgage Fulfilment Officer processing residential mortgage applications for Manulife Bank, a financial services provider. Verifying legal documents, administering mortgage transactions, and resolving client and partner inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Verify documents for residential mortgage applications from new loan inception through instructions to lawyers and notaries
  • Prepare and process mortgage-related transactions and documents
  • Review Mortgage Specialist submissions to ensure files are complete and conditions are met
  • Set up and administer new mortgage business and process related financial transactions
  • Address routine queries from internal partners
  • Resolve situations, influence decisions, and maintain accountability for workload and responsiveness
  • Support the team with urgent deadlines and increased volumes
  • Respond to and resolve inquiries promptly
  • Build collaborative working relationships with internal departments through excellent customer service
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities, share ideas, and assist with implementation
  • Ensure escalated complaint investigations consider customer experience
  • Follow Bank policies and standards for information, supporting documentation, processes, and mortgage discharges

Requirements

  • Fully bilingual in French and English, with the ability to communicate with clients from jurisdictions outside Quebec
  • General knowledge of residential mortgage business and mortgage underwriting practices is an asset
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Previous banking experience is an asset
  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to understand and correctly interpret legal mortgage documents
