About the role

  • Bilingual Registered Nurse making health authorization decisions from home. Utilizing medical knowledge and bilingual skills to ensure efficient treatment process.

Responsibilities

  • Make decisions concerning clients’ health needs for products that require authorization
  • Administer process for special authorization decisions through the interactive use of telecommunications and applied on-line POS technology
  • Utilize your medical background, knowledge and experience to render decisions
  • Liaison with the customers and other health care professionals to ensure treatment requests are appropriately administered
  • Provide a positive and efficient customer service experience for providers and clients
  • Support positive health care outcomes through on-line case assessment using computer technology

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 5 years nursing experience, including knowledge of medical conditions in relationship to pharmaceutical treatment
  • Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Multi-tasker and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work shift work on a rotating basis
  • Active Nursing License
  • Possess strong computer skills or aptitude
  • Must be fluently Bilingual (English and French) both written and verbal in-order to provide services to our customers and communicate with internal stakeholders in both official languages.
  • In conjunction with our contract with the Federal Government, you will be required to have Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B). This includes Fingerprinting, Criminal Record Check, Credit Check and you must have resided in Canada for at least 5 years and hold Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status.
