About the role
- Contract Software Engineer building Mozilla Firefox WebCompat dashboards and broken-site screenshot pipelines. Improving tooling for faster, data-driven site-breakage triage.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve WebCompat dashboards for triage, reporting, and metrics
- Improve the broken-site-report screenshot capture and pipeline
- Work with the WebCompat team, including QA, to turn reporting and triage needs into reliable tooling
- Build and improve internal tooling that helps the WebCompat program triage and prioritize site breakage
Requirements
- Solid web development skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, and Django, with experience building dashboards/data views
- Comfort with tooling, automation, and web services
- Self-directed, with good written communication
- Must be located in the Eastern Time Zone in the US or Canada
- Familiarity with WebCompat workflows and Bugzilla (preferred)
- Experience with screenshot/automation pipelines (preferred)
- Experience with Machine Learning (preferred)
