About the role
- System Test Specialist validating software and system performance for NAV CANADA's air navigation services. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Validate software features and system enhancements
- Contribute to test strategies and specifications
- Review and analyze system requirements
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts
- Identify defects and ensure documentation and resolution
- Investigate system issues and perform root cause analysis
- Support system lifecycle activities
- Develop technical documentation and process improvements
Requirements
- Degree from a recognized university or community college in computer science, IT, engineering, or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in system testing or QA, preferably in complex environments
- Experience designing and executing test plans and cases
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Selenium)
- Experience in Agile or team-based development environments
- Strong knowledge of system testing principles
- Understanding of software development lifecycle processes and techniques
- Awareness of cybersecurity and safety considerations in software validation
