About the role
- Field Service Technician maintaining and repairing self-checkout systems for NCR Voyix, a unified commerce technology company. Installing equipment and responding to retail customer service calls across an assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively
- Service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems within an assigned territory
- Perform maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance work, and system overhauls
- Act as a first-line response to customers
- Communicate with customers in an open, helpful, and engaging manner
- Organize and triage customer issues and address problems proactively
Requirements
- Local candidate to specific geographic area
- Authorized to travel to the US
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and driving record satisfying NCR fleet requirements
- PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to travel extensively, driving several hours per day
- Availability for rotating and weekend shifts
- Flexible shift work, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times and some holidays
- Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects
