About the role
- Field Service Technician servicing retail self-checkout systems for NCR Voyix. Installing, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling electromechanical equipment across an assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively
- Service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems within an assigned territory
- Perform maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and system overhauls
- Act as a first-line response to customers
- Communicate with customers to find the right solution
- Organize and triage customer issues
- Handle some customer problems before they start
- Complete formal training and apply it to customer needs
- Work with diverse individuals and collaborate across territories
Requirements
- Local candidate to specific geographic area
- Authorized to travel to the US
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and driving record satisfying NCR fleet requirements
- PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged travel with driving several hours per day
- Availability for rotating and weekend shifts
- Flexible shift work, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times with some holidays
- Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size
