About the role
- Field Service Technician maintaining retail self-checkout systems for NCR Voyix. Performing installations, repairs, preventive maintenance, and customer service calls across an assigned Nova Scotia territory.
Responsibilities
- Perform installations, maintenance, and service calls at customer locations
- Maintain electromechanical equipment, such as self-checkout systems, within an assigned territory
- Complete maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance (PM), and system refurbishment work
- Communicate openly, helpfully, and professionally as the first point of contact for customers
- Organize and triage customer requests
- Intervene proactively before issues arise
- Serve as a brand ambassador for NCR Voyix
- Travel extensively across the assigned geographic area
Requirements
- Reside locally within the assigned geographic area
- Authorized to travel to the United States
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets NCRV fleet requirements
- Computer skills, basic electronics knowledge, and familiarity with certain hardware and operating systems
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to travel extensively, including driving several hours per day
- Rotating shifts and weekend work
- Flexible schedule, including morning, afternoon, and evening starts and some holidays
- Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs unassisted and up to 150 lbs with assistance
- Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repeatedly perform grasping and handling motions
- Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job
- Knowledge of high-capacity servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software (preferred)
- A+, CompTIA, or N+ certifications (preferred)
- One year or more of relevant experience (preferred)
