About the role
- Field Service Technician installing and maintaining NCR Voyix self-checkout and electromechanical systems for retail customers. Serving an assigned Quebec territory through customer-site service calls and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform installations, maintenance, and service calls at customer locations
- Maintain electromechanical equipment, such as self-checkout systems, within an assigned territory
- Complete maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and system refurbishment work
- Organize and triage customer requests
- Communicate openly, helpfully, and professionally with customers to identify appropriate solutions
- Take proactive action before issues arise
- Serve as an NCR Voyix brand ambassador
Requirements
- Reside locally within the assigned geographic area
- Be authorized to travel to the United States
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a valid driver’s license and have a driving record that meets NCR Voyix fleet requirements
- Have computer skills, basic electronics knowledge, and familiarity with certain hardware and operating systems
- Be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Be able to travel extensively, including driving several hours per day
- Be available for rotating shifts and weekend work
- Have a flexible schedule with morning, afternoon, and evening start times, including some holidays
- Be able to carry and lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted and 150 lbs. with assistance
- Be able to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and perform repetitive motions
- Knowledge of high-capacity servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software preferred, but not required
- A+, CompTIA, or N+ certifications preferred, but not required
- One year or more of relevant experience preferred, but not required
