About the role
- Field Service Technician maintaining and repairing retail self-checkout systems for NCR Voyix. Responding to customer service calls across an assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively
- Service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems within an assigned territory
- Perform maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and system overhauls
- Act as a first-line response to customers
- Communicate with customers to identify and provide the right solution
- Organize and triage customer issues
- Handle some customer problems before they start
- Complete formal training to provide customers with needed service
- Work with diverse individuals and participate in the NCR Voyix learning community
Requirements
- Local candidate to specific geographic area
- Authorized to travel to the US
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that satisfies NCR fleet requirements
- PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to drive several hours per day and tolerate prolonged travel
- Availability for rotating and weekend shifts
- Flexible shift work, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times and some holidays
- Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects
- Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of applicable screening criteria
- Preferred: Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software
- Preferred: A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification
- Preferred: One or more years of related experience
