About the role
- Senior II Software Engineer enhancing Akamai’s cloud IAM services. Building resilient, regionally deployed software and tools for secure, high-availability performance.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of highly available, scalable, and performant solutions
- Build reliable, regionally deployed IAM systems that are fault-tolerant
- Build, integrate, support, and improve IAM services on the Akamai Compute Platform
- Design and develop tools to make deployed software operate seamlessly
- Research emerging technologies to improve the IAM experience and features
- Enhance IAM core services and design and develop new features
- Build resilient, fault-tolerant software targeting five-nines availability and high performance and reliability
Requirements
- 8 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience with Python or Java
- Extensive experience developing software in a Linux environment
- Track record of delivering reliable and secure software
- Solid knowledge of IAM technologies
- Experience working in an enterprise environment
- Experience with GIT, JIRA, and Jenkins
