About the role

  • Product Manager steering digital precision agronomy solutions for Nutrien. Engaging with stakeholders to define product strategy, market opportunities, and compliance measures.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive product strategy by setting the vision, roadmap, and priorities for digital precision agronomy solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and the evolving needs of growers and crop consultants.
  • Identify and frame market opportunities by engaging with growers, crop consultants, field teams, and regional leaders to surface pain points and opportunities, translating these into clear product direction and measurable objectives.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of digital agronomy platforms (such as Nutrien HUB, Telus Agronomy, or comparable tools) and industry integrations to inform product decisions and accelerate time-to-impact.
  • Accelerate partner integration by using established relationships with equipment and data providers to drive faster collaboration and delivery of integrated features.
  • Champion field enablement and change management by leading efforts to support regional teams and crop consultants as they adopt new digital tools and workflows, including in offline or low-connectivity environments.
  • Measure and drive adoption by defining and tracking north-star metrics (adoption, accuracy, compliance), using data and feedback to iterate and improve product offerings.
  • Ensure compliance and usability by balancing regulatory requirements with usability and speed, designing minimal-friction user experiences, and validating with subject matter experts.
  • Communicate and influence by presenting product updates, strategic plans, and key metrics to stakeholders and company leadership, advocating for the customer and the business throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of deep, hands-on experience in fertility planning, seeding strategies, nitrogen modeling, crop planning, field trials, and custom application processes.
  • Hands-on exposure to retail operations, working directly with branch employees and growers to understand workflows, pain points, and adoption challenges.
  • Proven ability to engage with crop consultants, branch managers, and growers in real-world settings to drive adoption and gather actionable feedback.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with digital agronomy platforms (such as Nutrien HUB, Telus Agronomy, John Deere Operations Center, Climate FieldView, etc.) and related integrations, enabling faster time-to-impact and seamless workflow execution.
  • Established relationships with key equipment and data partners relevant to the precision agronomy ecosystem (e.g., John Deere, Climate, or similar), with a proven ability to accelerate collaboration and feature delivery.
  • Demonstrated success in leading field enablement and change management initiatives across diverse regions, supporting adoption of new digital tools and practices.
  • Exceptional ability to produce clear, actionable documentation and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • 10+ years in product management or agronomy tech leadership, ideally with exposure to precision ag tools (prescription generation, as-applied data), geospatial data, and equipment integrations.
  • Evidence-based, outcome-first approach; comfortable with ambiguity and iterative delivery; able to make tight decisions with incomplete data and auditable rationale.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across functions, drive team alignment, and simplify complexity for non-technical users.
