Senior Product Manager needed for a 6 - month contract in downtown Vancouver with retail and data analytics experience. Onsite 4 days/week.

- Senior Product Manager at Chess.com shaping AI/ML initiatives for chess products. Expanding the role of AI in various applications and driving product success with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Shape the AI/ML roadmap and vision
- Expand the role of AI in products like Game Review, Play Coach, and FairPlay
- Bring ideas and sharpen them with the team
- Operate in public: brainstorm openly, pose sharp questions, make decisive small calls with reasoning attached
- Partner deeply with engineering, write specs that are crisp on intent and honest about tradeoffs
- Define success and hold the quality bar, even when there's no precedent
- Use AI to prototype, de-risk, and accelerate
Requirements
- 7+ years in product management, 4+ shipping consumer AI/ML
- You've shipped consumer-facing products powered by both LLMs and quantitative ML models.
- Excellent product taste, especially in the chess context.
- Technically fluent: collaborate deeply with engineers, understand systems, and read or produce AI-assisted code.
- AI-native: use AI daily to prototype, explore ideas, and accelerate execution.
- High-velocity communicator: communicate clearly and concisely at speed across many projects.
