About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop system-level solution concepts
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand mission objectives, operational challenges, and deployment environments
  • Translate customer needs into system-level requirements and solution concepts
  • Evaluate technical options, trade-offs, and implementation approaches
  • Participate in customer demonstrations, prototypes, pilot deployments, and technical engagements
  • Lead the integration of hardware, software, RF, networking, and third-party technologies into complete system solutions
  • Define and manage interfaces between subsystems, products, and external platforms
  • Identify and resolve integration issues, technical risks, and system-level dependencies
  • Lead integration planning, execution, troubleshooting, and deployment activities with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Serve as the system-level technical reference for multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Lead or contribute to technical trade studies, reviews, and risk assessments
  • Drive the verification and validation strategy to ensure that requirements, operational scenarios, and acceptance criteria are defined, traceable, and validated through testing

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, telecommunications engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
  • Experience integrating complex hardware and software systems
  • Experience translating customer or operational needs into technical solutions
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, interfaces, and multidisciplinary engineering concepts
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems across multiple technology domains
  • Excellent communication and technical leadership skills
  • Eligibility to obtain or maintain a Canadian security clearance
  • Assets: Experience with SDR, LTE, 5G, RF systems, SIGINT, tactical communications, or related technologies
  • Assets: Experience with airborne, mobile, fixed, or mission-critical deployments
  • Assets: Experience integrating third-party hardware, software, sensors, or network platforms
  • Assets: Familiarity with requirements management, interface control, and systems engineering methodologies
  • Assets: Experience supporting government, defense, aerospace, or public safety programs
