About the role

  • IT & AI Solutions Engineer supporting day-to-day IT operations at O'Dell HVAC Group. Designing AI-driven solutions to enhance business performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement AI and automation solutions that improve operational efficiency across departments
  • Partner with business leaders to translate operational challenges into practical, technology-enabled solutions
  • Ensure all systems and solutions are secure, well-documented, and aligned with company standards
  • Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and role changes, including system access and equipment setup
  • Assist with business systems support (e.g., ERP/CRM platforms), including troubleshooting, testing, and process improvements
  • Support infrastructure and technical projects such as hardware rollouts, office expansions, and system implementations
  • Proactively improve IT operations by reducing recurring issues through automation, self-service tools, and documentation
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support across office locations, including Microsoft 365, devices, and core systems
  • Manage the full lifecycle of AI initiatives, from concept and pilot through to deployment and user adoption
  • Design, build, and maintain AI tools, workflows, and decision-support solutions using platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, and Azure AI
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related program
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and end-user technologies
  • Exposure to automation tools or AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, or similar technologies
  • Minimum one to two (1–2) years of experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and continuously develop new technical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with ticketing systems and prioritizing IT requests
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with ERP or CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite) considered an asset.
