Payroll and IT systems administrator supporting Owens Corning’s Toronto manufacturing plant. Managing UKG timekeeping, payroll coordination, employee records, and on-site technology support.
Responsibilities
Serve as the site process expert and system administrator for UKG timekeeping; review timecards, pay codes, overtime, and exceptions
Enter restricted pay and deduction codes and coordinate transactions with Corporate Payroll
Administer vacation tracking for hourly employees and prepare quarterly reporting
Answer employee and supervisor questions on pay, timekeeping, overtime, and UKG use
Train employees and supervisors through system upgrades and process changes
Maintain employee records, payroll procedures, and local process controls
Escalate complex payroll or system issues and support system testing and upgrades
Help standardize payroll processes across Canadian plants
Coordinate on-site end-user computing, including deployment, setup, imaging, replacement, and recovery of devices
Maintain IT asset inventory, lifecycle records, and periodic audits
Provide first-line troubleshooting for hardware, software, printing, access, connectivity, and plant applications
Log, track, and escalate IT issues through the Corporate IT Service Desk
Coordinate IT equipment, software, and account access for employee changes
Coordinate telephony and network requests with Corporate IT and external providers
Follow cybersecurity and acceptable-use requirements and report suspected security incidents
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Payroll, Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Three or more years of payroll and timekeeping administration, including responsibility for pay-cycle deadlines
Hands-on experience administering UKG or Kronos timekeeping
Comfort with technology and a willingness to develop site IT coordination capability
High attention to detail, with a strong commitment to payroll accuracy, data integrity, confidentiality, and security
Ability to manage competing priorities against fixed, recurring payroll deadlines
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong customer-service orientation, with the ability to explain payroll and technical matters clearly
Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote payroll, HR, and technical teams
Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
Understanding & speaking French is an asset
Preferred: experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or other operational environment
Preferred: experience with payroll audits, compliance documentation, and HRIS
Preferred: experience supporting Windows devices, Microsoft 365, printers, and mobile devices
