About the role

  • Junior Project Manager coordinating penetration-testing and application-security engagements at Packetlabs. Managing schedules, risks, resources, deliverables, budgets, and client communications remotely across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Learn, understand and embrace Packetlabs’ culture and core values
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of Packetlabs’ product, industry, competitors and market position
  • Collaborate with marketing, delivery and operations teams
  • Ensure project tasks and deliverables are on time, within budget and meet quality requirements
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create detailed work plans and sequence activities for successful engagement delivery
  • Develop project schedules and allocate resources across multiple concurrent projects
  • Coordinate deliverables for seamless project execution
  • Prepare meeting materials, minutes, presentations and project plans
  • Manage changes to engagement scope, schedule and costs using appropriate technologies
  • Assist with PMO administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, maintaining documentation, updating project tracking tools and facilitating team communication
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in project management and schedule management in a fast-paced IT environment
  • Experience with penetration testing is an asset
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Certification in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Scrum/PMP certification is an asset
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Strong technical IT aptitude, understanding and the ability to grasp concepts
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative and proven success working remotely and independently
  • Ability to be self-sufficient, prioritize and produce significant output with minimal wasted effort
  • Demonstrates energy and a sense of urgency when executing day-to-day responsibilities
  • Ability to adapt communication skills to various personality types
  • Ability to build influential relationships throughout an organization and experience dealing with multiple stakeholders
  • Passionate about helping companies and organizations protect themselves against cyber attacks
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently
  • Internally driven to succeed and make a difference
