About the role
- Digital Architect guiding Alberta government digital transformation and user-centric service delivery. Leading solution architecture, integrations, iterative implementation, and technical standards across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the solution architecture of digital services, including developing architectural plans, uncovering system context, recommending prototypes, producing iterative solution designs, and analyzing impacts and risks
- Guide implementation by facilitating frequent product delivery and determining integration approaches and system boundaries
- Identify and leverage common components and capabilities across digital services
- Guide detailed solution designs, review code changes, and contribute code changes for user stories and technical tasks
- Coach and mentor the product team
- Contribute to the architectural vision for a platform of user-centric services
- Contribute to principles, metrics, and standards for service quality and delivery
- Communicate software architecture information to technical and non-technical audiences through documents, diagrams, and presentations
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the architecture practice
