Procurement Data Analyst supporting the development and continuous improvement of procurement data and reporting. Collaborating on data analysis and solution development at PCL Constructors Inc.
Responsibilities
Translates business needs into data-driven solutions, including designing and developing dashboards, reports, and low-code business applications to support procurement operations
Contributes to the development and evolution of procurement data architecture, including supporting the design and implementation of data models and data pipelines within Microsoft Fabric
Takes ownership of end-to-end solutions, from requirements gathering through development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement
Utilizes computer models, process analysis, and business analytics to interpret data to make business decisions and efficiently answer complicated business problems
Identifies and respond to customer needs and challenges by developing customer focused solutions
Gathers, validates and documents business requirements
Coordinates solution walk-throughs and sign-offs, verifying with stakeholders that requirements have been met
Supports and participates in district and corporate cross-functional project teams
Documents and maintains streamlined business practices in the form of business guides, work instruction and business processes documents
Executes change management plans to drive acceptance, adoption, minimize resistance, and maximize engagement and efficiencies
Assists with training and roll-outs as required
Requirements
Minimum of three years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a related role, with experience designing, developing, and supporting data-driven solutions; experience in procurement or the construction industry is considered an asset
Postsecondary degree or diploma in a program related to computing science, information management, statistics, or a business program with a focus on data analytics or operations research
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
Experience with relational databases and SQL is preferred
Experience with programming languages such as Python and R is preferred
Experience with Microsoft Fabric considered an asset
Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate considered an asset
Construction knowledge and/or experience is considered an asset
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent time management skills and can prioritize and communicate to ensure deadlines are met

Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
