About the role

  • Continuous Improvement Manager leading Lean Six Sigma transformation initiatives for Grifols, a global plasma-derived medicines and transfusion healthcare company. Optimizing donor center efficiency, costs, quality, and analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives delivering measurable business results
  • Develop strategies to reduce waste and increase efficiencies across Grifols Canada
  • Develop implementation plans, governance models, and sustainment strategies for large-scale initiatives
  • Create process and value stream maps to identify efficiency losses and implement solutions
  • Build data-driven business cases, calculate ROI, and track realized benefits with Operations and Controlling
  • Drive process improvements affecting costs, quality, production, and service
  • Drive adoption of technologies, automation, and process redesign in donor center operations
  • Collaborate with Project Management on change management and rollout plans
  • Assess donor center operational processes, metrics, and effectiveness across labor, marketing, customer service, compliance, training, and internal systems
  • Act as an internal consultant to validate and facilitate assessment of ideas and practices
  • Develop and implement solutions for complex processes, projects, and business requirements
  • Train and educate the organization on continuous improvement methodologies
  • Implement 5S, Lean Six Sigma, OEE, and other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities across the center network
  • Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs for continuous improvement initiatives
  • Harmonize datasets from multiple sources to identify business and operational trends
  • Drive the business intelligence roadmap and prioritize analysis requests
  • Use Power BI for visualization, parameters, report optimization, measures, modeling, reports, dashboards, and dataflows

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or Manufacturing required
  • Prior training and certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt in root cause investigations required
  • Project Management, Total Quality Management, or Theory of Constraints certifications are a plus
  • Minimum 8–10+ years of successful continuous process improvement experience
  • Knowledge of project management, statistical analysis, Lean Six Sigma principles, and Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Proven track record leading enterprise-level continuous improvement initiatives with measurable impact
  • Experience in regulated or high-volume service environments preferred
  • Experience translating technical information into digestible formats for all organizational levels
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Plasma collection background preferred
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and ability to implement data-driven improvement strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle diverse situations and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to influence upward, across, and down without formal authority
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution and solution-focused problem-solving skills
