About the role

  • Senior Supervisor managing plasma receipt, storage, inventory, and distribution for Grifols, a global healthcare company. Supervising teams, compliance, SOPs, training, and resource planning in Montreal.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the receipt, handling, verification, storage, and distribution of human blood plasma
  • Ensure plasma shipments, production units, and lots meet quality, storage, production, safety, cGMP, OSHA, and SOP requirements
  • Remove, account for, and disposition plasma units deemed unacceptable for further processing
  • Interview, hire, train, and directly supervise Plasma Operations employees
  • Monitor performance, employee relations, and quality standards
  • Develop and maintain departmental SOPs aligned with regulatory and company requirements
  • Coordinate and oversee inventory transactions for raw plasma storage and movement
  • Maintain inventory accuracy at agreed targets
  • Partner with manufacturing, freight carriers, quality operations, and other internal and external groups
  • Evaluate incoming plasma with Quality Operations to determine acceptability or non-conformance
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and monthly expense monitoring
  • Support resource planning and allocation for personnel, equipment, and supplies
  • Develop and prioritize training needs and requirements
  • Drive identification of training deficiencies within the Plasma Logistics Center
  • Manage PLC training matrices and coordinate departmental training
  • Establish continuous improvement processes for training materials

Requirements

  • Minimum high school education required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, materials inventory planning, or distribution
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes related to raw plasma
  • Knowledge of inventory controls
  • Strong knowledge of cGMPs and other regulatory requirements
  • Leadership and independent decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of urgency
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Bilingual French and English, spoken and written
  • Bachelor’s degree in sciences, business administration, engineering, or a related field is a bonus
