About the role
- Senior Supervisor managing plasma receipt, storage, inventory, and distribution for Grifols, a global healthcare company. Supervising teams, compliance, SOPs, training, and resource planning in Montreal.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the receipt, handling, verification, storage, and distribution of human blood plasma
- Ensure plasma shipments, production units, and lots meet quality, storage, production, safety, cGMP, OSHA, and SOP requirements
- Remove, account for, and disposition plasma units deemed unacceptable for further processing
- Interview, hire, train, and directly supervise Plasma Operations employees
- Monitor performance, employee relations, and quality standards
- Develop and maintain departmental SOPs aligned with regulatory and company requirements
- Coordinate and oversee inventory transactions for raw plasma storage and movement
- Maintain inventory accuracy at agreed targets
- Partner with manufacturing, freight carriers, quality operations, and other internal and external groups
- Evaluate incoming plasma with Quality Operations to determine acceptability or non-conformance
- Assist with annual budget preparation and monthly expense monitoring
- Support resource planning and allocation for personnel, equipment, and supplies
- Develop and prioritize training needs and requirements
- Drive identification of training deficiencies within the Plasma Logistics Center
- Manage PLC training matrices and coordinate departmental training
- Establish continuous improvement processes for training materials
Requirements
- Minimum high school education required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, materials inventory planning, or distribution
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes related to raw plasma
- Knowledge of inventory controls
- Strong knowledge of cGMPs and other regulatory requirements
- Leadership and independent decision-making capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of urgency
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Bilingual French and English, spoken and written
- Bachelor’s degree in sciences, business administration, engineering, or a related field is a bonus
