Senior Supervisor managing plasma receipt, storage, inventory, and distribution for Grifols, a global healthcare company. Supervising teams, compliance, SOPs, training, and resource planning in Montreal.
Responsibilities
Supervise the receipt, handling, verification, storage, and distribution of human blood plasma
Ensure plasma shipments, production units, and lots meet quality, storage, production, safety, cGMP, OSHA, and SOP requirements
Remove, account for, and disposition plasma units deemed unacceptable for further processing
Interview, hire, train, and directly supervise Plasma Operations employees
Monitor performance, employee relations, and quality standards
Develop and maintain departmental SOPs aligned with regulatory and company requirements
Coordinate and oversee inventory transactions for raw plasma storage and movement
Maintain inventory accuracy at agreed targets
Partner with manufacturing, freight carriers, quality operations, and other internal and external groups
Evaluate incoming plasma with Quality Operations to determine acceptability or non-conformance
Assist with annual budget preparation and monthly expense monitoring
Support resource planning and allocation for personnel, equipment, and supplies
Develop and prioritize training needs and requirements
Drive identification of training deficiencies within the Plasma Logistics Center
Manage PLC training matrices and coordinate departmental training
Establish continuous improvement processes for training materials
Requirements
Minimum high school education required
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, materials inventory planning, or distribution
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes related to raw plasma
Knowledge of inventory controls
Strong knowledge of cGMPs and other regulatory requirements
Leadership and independent decision-making capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of urgency
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Bilingual French and English, spoken and written
Bachelor’s degree in sciences, business administration, engineering, or a related field is a bonus
