Reporting to the Civil Field Services Manager
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution
Registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada
2–5+ years of relevant field experience in civil construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects (experience in transmission, substations, or energy projects is an asset)
Strong understanding of civil construction practices, including earthworks, foundations, grading, drainage, and access road construction
Experience reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents
Ability to interpret geotechnical reports and apply findings in the field
Familiarity with quality control/quality assurance (QA/QC) processes and documentation
Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced field environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D is considered an asset
Willingness and ability to travel to project sites and work in remote or outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
