Senior AI Engineer building Python/TypeScript agents and automations for TRM Labs’ AI - powered crime and threat intelligence platforms. Embedded with Product, Marketing, and Design to accelerate decisions and delivery.
About the role
- Senior AI Architect designing PointClickCare’s shared AI platform for healthcare software teams. Establishing agentic architecture, governance, observability, and reusable engineering patterns.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve PointClickCare’s AI Platform, including the agentic runtime, MCP integration layer, model gateway, and evaluation and observability services
- Guide the AI Engineering team through architectural decisions, design reviews, and hands-on technical mentorship
- Partner with product counterparts to review roadmaps and translate upcoming AI capabilities into architectural requirements
- Author architecture documents and decision records that de-risk delivery
- Enable software engineers to build AI agents, MCP servers, and AI solutions through reference architectures, reusable patterns, paved-road templates, and architectural guidance
- Establish standards for security, responsible AI, evaluation, and observability
- Run architectural review processes to keep platform solutions consistent, compliant, and production-ready
- Build and operate the common AI Platform foundation used by engineering teams across PointClickCare
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering and platform architecture experience
- 5+ years focused on AI/ML infrastructure and GenAI solutions at scale
- Deep cloud expertise, with Azure preferred
- Hands-on expertise with agent frameworks, multi-agent orchestration, MCP, tool use, RAG, vector databases, and production LLMOps
- Experience designing internal platforms used by other engineering teams, including developer experience, APIs and SDKs, and self-serve patterns
- Strong architectural breadth across cloud-native systems, distributed systems, data platforms, and security architecture
- Ability to produce high-quality architecture documents and decision records
- Ability to communicate design trade-offs clearly to engineering and product audiences
- Preferred: Experience with Azure OpenAI, AKS, APIM, Databricks lakehouse, Unity Catalog, and model serving
- Preferred: Background in healthcare technology platforms or clinical workflows
- Preferred: Experience guiding engineering teams as a senior architect or technical lead within a platform organization
- Preferred: Expertise in advanced agentic patterns, AI governance, responsible AI practices, and model risk management in regulated environments
