About the role

  • Real Assets Senior Associate driving M&A advisory roles for energy and infrastructure at PwC. Assisting in project developments, financial modeling, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in lead M&A advisory roles for buy-side and sell-side mandates of infrastructure assets involving valuation, marketing and deal execution
  • Participate in complex project developments, financings, and transactions in the energy, infrastructure, and mining sectors
  • Participate in developing financial models and assist in complex data analysis and modeling including preparing visual representations of data
  • Conduct feasibility studies and financial and commercial analysis of projects and companies
  • Participate in large-scale and complex procurements of infrastructure
  • Participate in assignments involving post-transaction monitoring and project tracking
  • Participate in writing reports, procurement documents and information memorandums
  • Undertake market research and benchmarking exercises as directed
  • Assist in developing business development opportunities for the real assets practice and the preparation of pitch decks, marketing materials, and proposals
  • Assist in developing work plans, indicative schedules and budget estimates

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in either project finance/M&A, assurance (audit), economic or policy analysis, or within an engineering consulting/project management firm would be an asset
  • Experience working in or advising clients in the Energy, Utilities or Resources sector would be considered an asset
  • An interest in pursuing a professional designation in finance (CFA, CBV) or in project management (PMP, PQS) would be an asset
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and on projects with tight deadlines
  • Ability to use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends and problem-solve
  • Familiarity with AI/GenAI/Agentic AI use case development would be an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to learn/problem solve, a curious mind-set and openness to working in sometimes highly ambiguous situations would be an asset
