About the role

  • RBC Associate supporting Financial Planners with client contact, referrals, and financial solutions. Enabling credit, investment, and everyday banking advice for personal and business clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive sales support and responsive value-based client contact for a team of Financial Planners
  • Support the unit/team in achieving sales objectives by contributing to a differentiated client experience
  • Collaborate with partners across the organization to identify and meet client needs and goals
  • Provide pre- and post-interaction enablement, client service, and fulfillment in connection with financial plans
  • Identify client needs, make referrals, expand profitable client relationships, and track and review progress against the annual sales plan
  • Assist with preparations for client meetings
  • Support fulfillment of credit, investments, and everyday banking solutions
  • Proactively lead with advice and serve clients through digital channels
  • Act as a Digital Ambassador and maintain current technology knowledge by building digital IQ
  • Follow policies and procedures and identify/correct areas of operational risk

Requirements

  • Mutual Funds accreditation required, such as Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course
  • Good working knowledge of Linx System
  • Breadth and depth of expertise across everyday banking, investments, and credit
  • Ability to fulfill a robust Advice Experience for personal and business needs
  • Strong client contact routines that proactively build personal and Financial Planners’ calendars
  • Ability to integrate consistent retention and anchoring activities to help the team achieve greater results
  • Flexibility, eagerness to learn, strong personal ethics, and hunger for success
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to leverage appropriate partners to meet clients’ entire suite of financial needs
  • Track record in building rapport and maintaining client relationships within the financial industry (nice-to-have)
  • Ability to provide increasingly complex everyday banking, investment, and credit advice for personal and business clients (nice-to-have)
  • Second language skill set (nice-to-have)
